It's so windy outside, its like my old house just took a big breath and exhaled. I could hear it in two rooms.

My friend alerted me of the potential bad weather today. Earlier it felt "tornado-y" so I guess I will go check the weather now.

Thank you Marian. I am thankful for your inquisitive mind as a child and a brilliant mind as an adult. I wonder what the 200 patents involve. Great job!

Marian Croak holds over 200 patents and most of her inventions are used all around the world. In 1982, she joined AT&T Bell Laboratories and worked there for over three decades.

She was born on May 14, 1955 and raised in New York City. As a child, she was always inspired by plumbers, electricians, and other workers who would come into her house to fix things when they broke. Marian felt inspired to develop technology that would transform the internet and she predicted that the Internet would take over wire technology.

In 1994, she established the fundamentals for what is now called "Voice over Internet Protocol" or VoIP. Her amazing inventions made it possible to convert your voice into a digital signal, allowing you to make a call directly from a computer or another digital device.

Guess who showed up. Love to see the bees in the lavender. The lavender is so beautiful. It is a little overgrown onto the sidewalk, and I should have trimmed it early spring but I just couldn't do it. It's just so pretty. Wouldn't you agree?
