🌸 Work Room Wednesday 🌸
Today, we’re celebrating… Bob, our Head Designer and Back Room Manager!

Bob is our go-to guy. If you ever have a question about flowers or plants, chances are Bob has the answer and probably a great story to go with it. His deep knowledge and calm expertise are woven into everything he does.

Bob’s been part of the Ann’s family for 13 years, but his roots in this business go even deeper.. with 60 years of experience. He started working in the greenhouse at just 11 years old.

Oh, and did we mention? Bob’s also a Navy veteran ⚓ He served as a Quartermaster 3rd class, and is a Vietnam vet. (Basically, he's cooler than all of us.)

Fun Fact: Bob isn’t just a floral artist…he’s also a talented sculptor and a finalist in the National Art Competition for the VA for the second year in a row!

From stunning designs to behind-the-scenes magic, Bob keeps this place blooming. 🌺🌿

Today we’re going behind the petals with Diana… the driving force behind Ann’s Flowers!

This featured team member is none other than the boss herself…. the owner of Ann’s Flowers… and also my mom. Yep, I work for and with my mother. Send thoughts and snacks. 😂

If you've ever stepped into Ann’s and felt instantly at home, you can thank Diana for that. She’s the reason this shop runs like a well-oiled (and beautifully scented) machine

Fun fact: Diana started at Ann’s as a part time employee, working a second job. Fast forward to today she owns the shop and leads a team of incredible florists. 🌷

Her favorite flower? Peony… lush, timeless, and full of personality (just like her).

Her journey is proof that passion and hard work can truly blossom into something beautiful.

🌿✨ Front Room Friday at Ann’s Flowers! ✨🌿
This week’s spotlight: The Winding Road Bags… stunning, handwoven treasures with a story as beautiful as their design. 👜

These bags are made from ata vine, woven by master artisans in the Tenganan Village of Eastern Bali. Each piece is crafted in the weaver's home, using traditional methods passed down through generations.

Once woven, the bags are cured over a coconut shell fire for a full week…. a process that gives them their signature golden color, a subtle smoky scent, and incredible durability. Locals say they’ll last 100 years!

These bags aren’t just stylish…. they’re a piece of global craftsmanship you’ll treasure for decades.

Today we’re recognizing Gene one of our amazing owners… and our resident silent partner. So silent, in fact, we’re still not 100% sure if he agreed to be featured for this post. 😅

From way back behind the scenes, he keeps Ann’s Flowers thriving…. and the chaos mostly under control. 🌼

He’s super generous, an all-around great guy, and officially our coolest pickle. Seriously, he’s such a big dill around here..

When he’s not at the shop, you’ll find him living his best life on the farm…. just him and his trusty tractor (and probably a really good hat). 🚜🌾

Always ready to pick up the slack, like today he’s our driver! So if you see him out and about, wave but don’t be too loud. He likes to keep that “silent partner” vibe alive. 🤫👏

✨ Known for: Her timeless designs, eye for color, and selfless dedication to others

• Linda has been invited to be a guest designer at several floral shows ✨
• She comes from four generations of florists... it truly runs in her veins 🌿

After selling her own flower shop right here in town, we were in desperate need of Mother’s Day help and Linda came to our rescue! She’s been with us ever since, and we can’t imagine the shop without her 💕
