The history of the Skipper Ranch goes back to the 1930’s when Texas oil tycoon B.A. Skipper built his charming elegant hacienda that still remains as the jewel of the ranch. Hacienda at Skipper Ranch. The Grand Hacienda is a 9,000 square foot climate controlled venue with a ceiling covered with imported Purple Heart cedar and pillars of Austin stone. At one end you will find a towering majestic fireplace and at the other a mesquite hand carved bar that is second to none. The grand stage has the space for a full piece band that can serve to entertain you and your guests as you dance the night away on the dance floor. The capacity of this beautiful venue is for a party up to 500. There is also a beautiful 10,000 square foot fully landscaped courtyard attached to the venue that can serve to accommodate your ceremony as you walk down the aisle lined with lovely shrubs to the charming gazebo at the end. This picturesque courtyard can also serve for your cocktail hour as your guests linger and enjoy the sights of South Texas ranch land. There are also several locations throughout the ranch that can serve as charming backdrops for your dream ceremony.
