The Hive at Leichtag Commons

🐝 The Hive is buzzing with fire safety today! 🔥

Hive members and Leichtag tenants took a break from their usual routines to join a hands-on fire extinguisher training with the pros at Anita Fire Hose Co.

💡 Remember the P.A.S.S. method:
PULL the pin
AIM at the base of the fire
SQUEEZE the handle
SWEEP side to side

Safety first — and now we’re all a little more prepared! 🧯🙌

Snack Hour at The Hive is always a treat! 🍎 Twice a month, one of our amazing Hive members or Leichtag tenants brings us together with good food and great conversation.

This week, Andrew Crytzer from Cibus - an agricultural biotech company focused on non-GMO gene editing - hosted and shared how his team is shaping the future of crop protection. 🌱✨

Bonus? Andrew is also a dedicated volunteer at Coastal Roots Farm! 👏

Thank you Andrew for not only hosting today’s Snack Hour, but also for being an integral part of life at Leichtag Commons!

Hostess with the mostest Megan Freeman, Education Manager for School and Volunteer Programs at Coastal Roots Farm, took the reins for this week’s snack hour at The Hive! Our coworkers love this twice-monthly opportunity to gather together around delicious food and good friends.

Still buzzing about this incredible lunch and learn we had the honor of hosting, led by Hive member Nature Unplugged!

Nature Unplugged is a nonprofit organization that provides education and training to promote preventative mental health solutions that inspire wellness in the digital age.

Taking place on our beautiful Farm House Patio, community members learned realistic and effective ways to place boundaries on tech use to improve mental wellness.

A big thank you to Nature Unplugged for this valuable learning opportunity! 🐝
