Yesterday some of our younger designers took on the Young Florists of Texas contest hosted by the awesome Mr. Jack! They competed in an individual round then a team contest where all their scores from both helped for their final team score.

Rayleigh, Carly and Kaela got 2nd place team overall!

They all learned so much from the workshops as well! What a great day!!

Today was a bittersweet day! Our seniors and a few others traveled to Silsbee to compete in The Blooms Wear Prada Floral Contest. They were challenged to make a headpiece for a funeral and then had a team contest where they made a casket spray and a surprise boutonniere.

Averie & Carly- 3rd place team
Jason- 8th place individual

They do such a great job and made plenty of memories to carry with them! It has been an honor to watch them grow not only in their floral skills but also as young adults.

Yesterday was a great day at our Annual Rains Floral Contest. We had 17 schools and 143 students competing and filling up our cafeteria and hallways!

We had 16 students who represented Rains, 13 advanced to the second round and 3 went all the way to the finals which was the top 10 from each division!!! We even took back some banners and a buckle. Congratulations to Zoey (Reserve Champion), Karson (5th place) and Jason (10th place). We won Reserve Champion team for sweepstakes!

Thank you to all that helped with the contest and making it all happen! The amazing flowers were from Pikes Peak of Dallas and Margaret Tichelaar.

We had a very successful day at the Canton 4 Round Flower Challenge! We had 13 kids representing Rains! We had 9 students advanced to round 2, 7 students advanced to round 3, and 5 students advanced to round 4!

We brought home 8 total banners including 4th and 7th place overall!

Way to go Rains!

What an amazing day at the Wildflower! Rains was represented by 2 amazing teams and brought home Reserve Champion! The tropical destiantion wedding theme was not an easy one and they knocked it out of the park! I am so proud of them! Thank you to everyone who came and competed and supported us today!

Today may not have been their day at the Bridgeport Holiday Table Showstopper but I think they created some amazing designs!

Rains had a great day in Canton at the Christmas around the World contest! We walked away with Raserve Champion pro designer (Karson W.), 11th place advanced designer (Carly M.), 15th place pro designer (Jason W.), 17th place pro deisgner (Averie R.), AND 5th place overall TEAM! I am so proud of them all and we can’t wait to compete in Bridgeport tomorrow!

Who says floral design can’t be delicious? Students got to make their own cookie color wheel to enjoy. What a great way to wrap up our color wheel unit! 🎨

Wednesday we had 3 students travel to Caldwell and compete at the Young Florists of Texas competition. Our students got to compete individually in the morning making an abstract design and then as a team in the afternoon making a breast cancer awareness gala centerpiece. They learned so much during the workshops, thank you Mr. Jack!

We came out with a 3rd place teachers choice, 3rd place team, 1st place individual Karson, and 10th place individual Averie.

Congratulations to all of our hardworking students!
