Here’s another plug from one of our Chicken BBQ fans… if you would want to come out on Saturday, May 9, we are hosting our annual chicken BBQ. It is absolutely amazing. We use Penn State’s “secret” recipe for the BBQ sauce. (It’s a vinegar based sauce, not a ketchup based sauce. The chicken is roasted over an open pit for about 4-5 hours. It’s my favorite meal of the year! (Not even joking!)

Want to learn more about Su***de Prevention? Join us at the Scrubgrass Grange for a community su***de prevention talk on Friday, April 17th at 7 pm for the program. Bring a tureen dish to share for a ham and scalloped potato tureen meal at 6 pm.

National Agriculture Literacy Week is a time to help young people learn where their food comes from and how agriculture shapes our everyday lives.

The National Grange believes that understanding agriculture helps children grow into informed leaders, consumers, and community members. Throughout this week, we invite families, teachers, and Granges to share fun facts, activities, and stories that help young people connect with agriculture.

Follow along each day for a new question or activity designed to spark curiosity about farming, food, and rural life. Each day will also have a children's book recommendation to go along with the theme - we hope you'll check them out.

April 11, Saturday, is Kellner’s Fireworks Extravaganza at the Venango Co. Fairgrounds so we will have to have our Fair Food Booth open by then. We will be open for the public in the afternoon and evening. So please add this to your calendar!

We are having our first Talking Tuesday of 2026 on Wed., April 15, 7:00 pm at the Grange - a repeat of our Human Trafficking Meeting. Very interesting and informative program – bring your friends and neighbors. Lets hope the weather stays nice and calm this time!
