We are pleased to welcome Chef Matt Masera to our PLD Family as our new Executive Chef!
Chef Matt brings 27 years of elite culinary expertise, leadership, and a deep passion for hospitality to our team. Most recently joining us from his role of Corporate Culinary Director for Chef Tyler Florence, where he oversaw operations, recipe development, and large-scale hospitality initiatives.
Matt has been Instrumental in the launch of world-class dining destinations, including San Francisco’s Wayfare Tavern and Miller & Lux, which is recognized among the top steakhouses globally.
Matt has also been honored with accolades like Sacramento’s Best New Chef award and led acclaimed culinary programs at Mother, Empress Tavern, and the James Beard-recognized Merriman’s Kapalua on Maui.
He brings a passion for global initiatives and has been actively involved with World Central Kitchen, volunteering to provide meals to communities and first responders affected by natural disasters and humanitarian crises.
Chef Matt operates on the foundational belief that exceptional food has the power to bring people together and create meaningful experiences. We look forward to the expertise and vision he will bring to our culinary programs.
