This was an amazing event full of amazing art! We are honored to have been invited to provide the food for an event of such artist skill!

Thank you to Chef Kendrick Robertson, the Executive Chef of Simply Southern Restaurant and Catering, who will be providing the menu for this Friday’s Opening Reception for the Crosstown Arts Spring 2023 Exhibitions!

Chef Kendrick’s favorite cuisine is a blend of Italian and American Southern. This unique blend came from his parents; his mother is Italian, and his father is from the small southern town of Lexington, Tennessee. He grew up watching Chef Emeril Lagasse with his grandfather. He has fond memories of how often they would watch the Food Network together and receive small lessons from his grandfather while cooking dinner. These feelings of comfort and love along with the motivation and support from his family are what drove him to follow this path.

He truly loves what he does and the joy it brings to people. Great food can turn a bad day into a “it’s not so bad “day. Great food can bring joy and expressions to people without ever saying a word.
