had a dream about my stepdad last night - the greatest businessmen ive ever known & a true legend in the car dealership world

he said how proud he was of me & reassured me that I’m on the right path
in true fashion, he had to throw in a few of his famously ridiculous comments, followed by that cackle id recognize anywhere

leave it to him to give me a little business advice & make me laugh (& roll my eyes), even in my dreams

although I wish he were here to to see his godson grow up, I would love more than anything for him to see what I’m building…
but last night felt like a pretty good reminder that maybe he does see it all🤍

the other day, a man at a plant store told me I shouldn’t be driving a truck, lifting heavy things, or getting dirty. I should be “working behind a desk” instead

cute suggestion - but I didn’t start this business afraid to get my hands dirty

I load the truck. I carry the plants. I lift the pots. I haul the pumpkins. I climb the ladders. I make the mess, clean it up, & do it all over again the next day

turns out women can do hard things (shocker, I know). sometimes we just do them with dirt under our nails

but thanks for the career advice 🤝
