Day 1 of registration for Smoke on the Shores 2027 is in the books, and once again, the BBQ community showed up in a BIG way! Here’s a recap.

Our largest Backyard Competition EVER filled up in just 3 HOURS!

The Pro Competition is already 3/4 FULL! If you’re planning to cook with us in March, don’t wait too long to get registered.

And to our incredible KCBS judges, keep those applications coming! We’re going to need the best judges in BBQ for a field like this!

We continue to be humbled by the support this event receives from teams, judges, sponsors, volunteers, and the entire BBQ community.

Well we are back from our 5th annual at Praise the Lard bbq competition it’s always a fun time and once again neighbors Smoke Til Ya Broke BBQ and The BBQ bus! Even though we weren’t happy with our cook we’ll try again next year huge congrats to Take It Easy BBQ on bringing home two apples for MBN! Congratulations on everyone heard their name espically 1 bite stand on a huge GC!!! Next weekend bumpy pickle is doing something different we’re going to be competing in two different states we’ll be in La belle Mo for KCBS with my buddy steve helping us out and my dad will be in IL at daminsville IL competing!

Thursday:

We are back from our very first time at Farmington MO for St. Louis BBQ Society for a first time experience this was a fun comp we will definitely do this again next year!

Chicken: 6th!!! Springer Mountain Farms
Ribs: 16th
Pork: 7th!!! Finally my first pork call this year!!
Brisket: 13th

Overall: 13th

We are on to our favorite comp this weekend and most meaningful one. This was our very first one 5 years ago! Praise the lard in Murphysboro IL! 🍎🍎 Can’t wait to be neighbors with Smoke Til Ya Broke BBQ again! See you all down there! Thanks to the amazing products that got us calls this weekend!

We are back from the 2nd annual Hoffman Fire Dept. BBQ Competition and they did an outstanding job putting this on first year as a St. Louis BBQ Society sanctioned was a ton of fun!

Heading out to Newton in the AM my first time ever going there! Looking forward to it! Going to be a fun birthday weekend with me and Jason Adams sharing it!

We competed in the Ryan Dintleman Classic: BBQ Competition first annual and Jon did an amazing job putting this on! It was a blast and we will definitely be back next year! This is how we did this past weekend!

Did a practice run at home on some very nice quality Springer Mountain Farms thighs and tried the wings for the very first time!! Amazing quality great taste!
