I'm really enjoying all the magical spring blooms, though I know they're temporary. The snapdragons, campanula, yarrow, chamomile and statice have been showing up for harvest day after day. Being able to offer fresh, gorgeous flowers to the local community and spreading joy, is such a great feeling. Thank you for your support of our little farm. ❤️

The dahlias are coming in strong and it's only early June! Every morning I walk the rows to see who is making their debut today. Most are new to me varieties, all were started over the winter in my husband's office, because marriage is about compromise. 😂 I will have these beauties available for the next 5 months, and that is just so incredible.

This dahlia plant had yellow vein clearing and distorted leaves, which is a sign of a virus. Unfortunately, viruses in plants are incurable. It doesn't matter how beautiful or expensive the variety, any plant that looks suspicious, needs to be culled. As heartbreaking as it is, it's best practice, and protects the rest of your dahlias, perennials, and everyone else's. Shockingly 87% of dahlias in the US are infected with at least 1 virus. This makes sanitizing tools in between plants, extremely important.

This arrangement was a special order to congratulate a friend on reaching her retirement. She requested yellow for her favorite color, and specifically yellow roses. I told her I didn't have any roses blooming, but that I would try to source them. They had a sentimental significance so I knew how important it was, and find them I did! I just love how this bouquet came together, and the special meaning it holds to the recipient. Say it with flowers. ❤️

The field is thriving and blooming well. Everything has been planted out, besides successions of sunflowers, which will continue into July. I've been harvesting snapdragons daily, and they're just so gorgeous! I'm so lucky to have a nearby florist that is happy to buy all my extra cuts. Local, supporting local. ❤️
