Urban Equine Events is founded by the Urban family of Elkhorn, NE. Each member of the family brings a unique skill set and perspective to the table. Founders Jim and Patrice Urban have decades of experience in the horse industry through operating their equestrian business Quail Run Horse Centre. Their son Dan is an active equestrian professional and helps to represent the exhibitors point of view.

Their middle son Mike has worked for horse show management throughout the country for over 10 years. Their youngest son Tom has valuable experience as a facility manager. This unique blend of experience is undoubtedly a winning combination for producing top level competitions.

Greetings friends!
We can't wait to see everyone back at Quail Run for the continuation of our 2025 season! It was a great feeling to get back under way here in April after a year of rebuilding from last year's tornado. Day by day we continue to bring Quail Run back to its full glory and we can't wait to share it with you all!!

The Springtime Sunshine show is scheduled for May 29-June 1, 2025! There is just 1 week left before the closing date of May 15, 2025.

Greetings friends!!
We are making progress every day towards getting our farm back on track on ready to host our friends! As a reminder, we are not quite ready to host our full scale rated competitions and have had to cancel the following USEF shows:
-End of Summer at Quail Run: August 29 - September 1, 2024
-Indian Summer in Elkhorn: September 5-8, 2024

However, we are excited to announce that we plan to host an O.M.A.H.A. circuit schooling show instead of these rated shows. We will be hosting this show on Saturday and Sunday: August 31 - September 1, 2024.

Greetings friends!
We hope that the summer has been treating you well.

After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the remaining UEE shows for 2024. This includes:
-End of Summer at Quail Run: August 29 - September 1, 2024.
-Indian Summer in Elkhorn: September 5-8, 2024.

A lot has been accomplished here at Quail Run since the tornado that took place on April 26th. Most of the debris has been picked up and damaged structures have been removed. As a farm and training facility we've been fortunate enough to continue on. Our Main Stable has remained operational, our pastures and outdoor rings have been cleared and are usable, and our "indoor ring" is also able to be used with its new open-air feature. However, much of the show infrastructure is still needing attention. New judges and starter booths will need to be rebuilt, our stabling barn will need repair, new electrical infrastructure will be needed, and as we get into the thick of it, we will find some more items that need attention.

It has always been our goal to provide the best product to our exhibitors as we can, and thus we believe in order to provide that we will be needing some more time to bring the facility back to the level that is consistent with that goal. Thank you to everyone that has supported us through this process! We are extremely fortunate, and we appreciate all of you!

Please consider joining us in Mason City, IA for a show hosted by our sister company Mid States Horse Shows, LLC. This show will be hosting the 2024 Zone 6 Horse of the Year Finals.
-Mid States Fall: September 11-15, 2024.
