Meet Phyllis and her very special jade plant. 💚🌿
For 40 years, Phyllis has cared for this beautiful plant, originally given to her by a dear friend who has since passed away. Over the years, it has become so much more than a plant. It holds memories, love, and a connection to someone very special.
Recently, Phyllis has gone through some big life changes and has had to say goodbye to many familiar parts of the life she's known. Through all of those changes, there was one thing she wasn't ready to say goodbye to: her plant.
She shared with us that she's lost a lot of things she loved, but this plant has remained a constant. After 40 years together, it represents a little piece of home, a lifetime of memories, and something that is still hers. ❤️
That's where Romeo's Roses comes in.
We'll be caring for Phyllis's beautiful jade over the next couple of months, as well as propagating several pieces from it for her, before carefully preparing everything for its journey to her in October. 🌱
There's something pretty special about that too. A plant that has already carried 40 years of memories will now have new little plants growing from it, allowing a piece of something she loves so dearly to continue on.
Sometimes what we do isn't just about flowers and plants. Sometimes it's about preserving a memory, a piece of home, and something that means far more than anyone else could ever know.
Phyllis is an absolute sweetheart, and being trusted with something this special means so much to us.
