• 15 Y E A R S • WOW! We can’t believe it’s been 15 years since the first wedding we ever decorated as Elegance Decor! We were so young and innocent! We had no idea that day that we were embarking on a new journey that would lead us to be a part of hundreds of families’ celebrations. We would get to be a part of their very special moment in life. We took on this 400 people wedding and charged a little less than $1000 for everything and shopped at the dollar store to make all of the centerpieces. We pretty much spent all of the payment to acquire supplies but we were the happiest people in the room when we stood on the side as the bride and groom entered and then the guests and looked at the room designed by us. At that moment, I knew and maybe my partners as well that this feeling is worth everything. What once was a hobby for this group of high school/ college kids was about to become what they choose to do as a career one day. Thank you for all our clients for trusting us for the past 15 years! Thanks to all our current and past team members for helping us!! Thanks to all the vendors that we work along side with.. Here’s to many more celebrations to come!! Cheers! 🥂

• A I S L E • The History and Meaning of the Walk Down the Aisle..
While today the wedding tradition of walking down the aisle with your dad or dad like figure such as “mama” can be a super-special moment, “this custom stems from the days of arranged marriages when a father’s looming presence was a good way to prevent the groom from backing out,” explains wedding historian Susan Waggoner. And why exactly might he back out? A bride was a “financial liability” who was essentially transferred from the household of her father to that of the groom and, sometimes, that led to hesitation that got the best of grooms at the last minute.
Today, the act of the father walking their daughter down the aisle is seen as a way to show support for this next chapter in life. It's looked at as less of a "giving away" and more of a "letting go."

• O U T D O O R S R E C E P T I O N • Here is a glimpse into a Wedding we did last fall. It was a beautiful ceremony set in the grooms backyard followed by a reception outdoors. It was an intimate ceremony with less than 25 guests, but the memories made were beyond measures. The backyard was lit with cafe style lighting and the rustic garden decor was set on wooden farm tables. Thank for these beautiful images!
