🚨📢Long post alert🚨📢
Today marks Neon City Arcade being in business for 2 years!
What an amazing ride my first couple of years in business has been.
NEVER did I imagine this would take me so many places!
The arcade has been setup in spare rooms, garages, coffee shops, schools, backyards, open fields and fair grounds, church, animal shelters, restaurants, bars, and most proudly Circuit of The Americas for the RADwood car show.
We've covered local public events, Juneteenth, Western Days, Manor 4th of July, Manorpalooza, Manor Juneteenth, Taylor Juneteenth and have been at many fundraisers, community, and PTA events around central Texas
Trying to make the flyer for this post was insane. I wanted a collage showcasing events over the last 2 years and there is NO WAY I could fit the entire vibe!
I've made mistakes, have had ups and downs, cancelations, been rained out (A LOT) and I have failed. Ive disappointed people. Not been able to make the moves I've wanted. But I've also been insanely successful, I've learned from my mistakes, and the arcade has provided for me and my family, and paid bills.
There's a lot of behind the scenes stuff no one sees. Machine maintenance & repair, building up inventory, building things from scratch. Sleepless nights, cold calls, cold emails, traveling to numerous locations and shaking hands, handing out flyers and business cards, trying to be a salesmen, and an owner, trying to teach myself marketing, and all from a clueless guy in a new place, learning as he goes.
Most importantly I've had amazing customers and a LOT of help from my friends and family.
Without people giving me a shot, without support along the way, I would not have been able to survive this long.
I can not wait to see whats next for the arcade, there are ALWAYS so many big plans! My intention has always been to be a brick and mortar arcade and I will strive to get there.
I am thankful and I am blessed.
From the guy that started small with big dreams and a few games on a little trailer, thank you all for making me,
"The Arcade Guy"
Sincerely,
Cody Wright
