So as we were watering our new baby grass last night, I was reminded of a Frog and Toad story... Come on, who remembers Frog and Toad? 💚 Frog really wants his seeds to grow! So do we!! 🌱🌱🐸

Our Story

As with all good stories, our story begins with love. My mom, Melba Hicks, was a warm, gracious, and welcoming wife, mother and grandmother. She was an excellent hostess, welcoming friends and family alike into her home and sharing her love with each of them. She encouraged her children to continue her legacy of opening a space for others to come and celebrate life.

In addition to loving nine children and a bundle of grandchildren, Melba loved red birds - especially cardinals. So it is in her memory and honor that we welcome you to the RedBird Wedding & Event Venue. We hope that the love and care Melba put into her hospitality shines through us and makes your day as special as can be!

Howie and I have been happily married for 32 years, successfully homeschooled 6 children (three biological and three adopted), and adore our 2 grandsons. We chose to build our home on this gorgeous 88-acre ranch so we could share our hearts and lives with our community.
