We are vey honored to have received the “Readers Choice” award for a second year in a row (back to back!) The amazing thing is that we didn’t know we were nominated and that is called the Favor and Grace that only comes from God.

Even though this is a celebration, I wanted to take the time to celebrate and honor my dear friend Mark Diaz that recently passed away.

Very few know the insight of my DJ company and wanted to give you a deep dive if you take a few minutes to read.

Mark and I started this journey at his house as we were listening to the 80s music that we loved. His Friend Carlos is the one that came up with the name “Blanc Image” which he got from the British band Blancmange (Picture attached) He just took a letter out and added a new one. Bye the way only 2 people have guessed that in 42 years! And if you ar not familiar with Blancmange and you like Erasure, Pet Shop boys… check them out.

Then Mark got our logo from the INXS 12” Vinyl single “What You Need” (picture attached) and Mark is the one that went and got our business cards made at Imperial Printers (yes they have been around for a long time)

Then we were off DJing house parties and the memorable dances at “The College Center” at IVC, which thrusted our popularity. (Attached-Original picture of one of the flyers that Russel McCracken would draw for us)

Mark was the one who would be spinning all the Vinyl records and he was incredible at Mixing and keeping the crowd dancing and the of course I came up with our slogan “We Keep You Dancing”

Take a moment and appreciate your loved ones and the history you have with them whether it’s good or bad, they are part of your life an honor their friendship and memories.

Mark is gone to soon and I Pray for his family and friends that our Father Lord will strengthen them during this difficult time.
