💡🎄 Ho ho ho! Did you know the twinkling Christmas lights we enjoy today trace back to a brilliant idea from 1882?
That year, Edward Johnson created the first strand of electric holiday lights and displayed them in his parlor window for neighbors to admire. His display featured 80 red and blue bulbs powered by a generator—a dazzling sight at a time when most Christmas trees were still decorated with real candles!
While those early electric lights cost the equivalent of more than $300 today, they offered a much safer alternative to placing open flames on an evergreen tree.
Within just 50 years, electric Christmas lights became affordable, mass-produced, and a beloved holiday tradition. From Johnson's modest display to today's synchronized light shows and millions of sparkling bulbs around the world, Christmas lighting has come a long way.

Sometimes the naughtiest things aren't the actions we take—they're the thoughts we tell ourselves.

At the North Pole, we check our thoughts just like we check the Naughty and Nice List. When an elf starts being too hard on themselves, I ask a simple question:
"Is that a kind thought... or a naughty one?"
And if it's naughty, we don't beat ourselves up over it—we replace it.

🎅❤️ What a wonderful way to begin the season!
My first visit of the year was extra special as I joined a family gathered from near and far for a reunion filled with laughter, hugs, and holiday memories in the making. It was a joy to share smiles, photos, and Christmas cheer with everyone.
And just when I thought the day couldn't get any more magical... there was a surprise engagement! 💍✨
