UniUSA represents the United States on the global university sports stage as the U.S. member of FISU, connecting American college athletes with opportunities to compete at the World University Games.

Next up: Changchun 2027. ❄️🇨🇳

College athletes from across the country will have the opportunity to represent Team USA on an international stage competing against some of the best university athletes from around the world.

And the journey doesn’t stop there. The 2027 Summer World University Games are on the horizon, too.

🇺🇸❄️ 100 DAYS TO CHANGCHUN! ❄️🇺🇸

The countdown is officially ON! In just 100 days, Team USA's student-athletes head to Changchun, China for the 2027 FISU Winter World University Games, January 15–25.

These athletes balance classes, exams, and training, and now they get to represent their universities AND their country on the world stage. That's what From Campus to Team USA is all about.

Over the next 100 days, we'll introduce you to the athletes, coaches, and schools making up our delegation. You won't want to miss it!

🇺🇸 A new chapter for UniUSA.

UniUSA is proud to announce a new partnership with KC Marketing Management to lead communications, digital content and storytelling through the 2027 FISU Winter and Summer Games.

From the road to the Games to on-site coverage, this partnership will help bring fans closer to the student-athletes, coaches and teams representing the United States on the international stage.

KC Marketing Management CEO Kristina Carruth and COO Jennifer George will also travel with the USA delegation as members of the USA staff, capturing and sharing the stories behind the journey.

The work starts now. The road to 2027 is officially underway. 🇺🇸

Congratulations to Coach Wyatt Waselenchuk on being selected to lead the Men’s Ice Hockey Team representing UniUSA in the 2027 Winter World University Games in Changchun, China

𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫: 𝐖𝐲𝐚𝐭𝐭 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐤

Wyatt Waselenchuk (Minot, N.D.) has been named the head coach of the United States Men’s National University Team that will compete at the 2027 FISU Winter World University Games in Changchun, China from January 13-25, 2027.

Waselenchuk was introduced as the head men's hockey coach in the spring of 2021 and begins his sixth season as the Beavers' head coach in 2026–2027 with an overall record of 171–21–8,
good for an 87.5% winning percentage. Waselenchuk has been part of all three of the Beavers’
ACHA Men’s Division I National Championships: first as the starting goaltender in 2013, then as an assistant coach in 2019, and finally as the head coach in 2023.

Jason White of Midland University has been named the head coach of the United States Women’s National University Team that will compete at the 2027 FISU Winter World University Games in Changchun, China from January 13-25, 2027.

A native of Stittsville, Ontario, White attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts and Science and played four seasons for the Mavericks. Following his playing career, he spent two years on the coaching staff at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Joining him on the bench will be Assistant Coach Hannah Griffin (Jamestown, N.D.), Director of Player Personnel Chris Lowes (Concord, Va.), Team Doctor Armand McGibbon (Lynchburg, Va.), and Equipment Manager Peter Carson, ATC (Durham, N.C.).

We’re proud to announce that both the men’s and women’s national teams from American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) will represent UniUSA in the 2027 Winter World University Games in Changchun ❄️🏒🇺🇸

𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞. 🇺🇸💥🦅

The ACHA will represent the United States for both Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey at the 2027 Changchun Winter Universiade in Changchun, China on January 13-25, 2027.

The Men’s tournament will consist of nine teams. Group A will consist of Great Britain, Kazakhstan, Korea, Student Neutral Athletes from Russian Federation, and United States playing four round-robin games. Group B will consist of Canada, Czechia, Japan, and Slovakia playing three round-robin games. The top four teams in each pool will advance to the quarterfinals. All Men’s games, including the Semifinals and Finals, will be held at the 8,552-seat Changchun Olympic Park Ice Arena.

The Women’s tournament will consist of eight teams split into a pair of four team brackets with each team playing three round-robin games. Group A will consist of Iran, Japan, Slovakia and Student Neutral Athletes from Russian Federation. Group B will consist of Canada, Czechia, Korea, and United States. All eight teams will advance to the quarterfinals. The Women’s preliminary games will be held at the 2,460 seat Nanguan Ice Arena, with the Semifinals and Finals played at the Changchun Olympic Park Ice Arena.

Gage Basey and Thomas Hurst are Beach World University Championship GOLD MEDALISTS! 🇺🇸 🥇

The pair defeated 🇩🇪 in straight sets in the semifinal and then 🇨🇿 2-0 in the gold medal match to claim the title.

Congrats! What an accomplishment!
