King of Bass went off despite small craft advisorys Saturdayand Sunday. We resorted to the safety of Presque Isle on both days based upon the dangerous conditions. 11 teams battles it out in heavy waves and wind (typical Erie) for 2600$ in prize money.

1st place went to Mike Miller and Brian Campbell
2nd place went to Frank Malek and Eric Heil
3rd to Mike Moran and James Lambert.

The sponsors really stepped up big this year. Our swag bags coupled with Falcon rods generous offering came to 175$ value...covering everyone's entry fee and THEN SOME!!

Small field format! We will continue to do this tournament every year. Thank you all for the support!

The boys ground it out in the wind today chasing bay green!

Tomorrow..... smallie/mixed bag day. Fingers crossed we can get them on the lake to get some bronze!!

Tourney time is here!!!

Launch at safe light when everyone is registered and checked in ( probably close to 7am) at Marina Bay.

See everyone there!!!Please come as early as possible to allow for registration, live well checks etc.

With the great support of my vendor partners we are putting on the 6th Annual King of Bass. This year will be a slugfest for sure. The forecast for now has me leaning for Bay only Saturday and Sunday potentially being open to the lake so we can chase some Bronze!!

Falcon has provided rods, Lowrance a unit, Shimano some reels and then tons of tackle by Melting Point Lures, Bay Rat, Steelshad, On the Spot Baits, Fulks Custom Cranks, Zman and Trokar. Uncle Norms Bait buddy has provided his attractant as well. Lots of goodies for EVERY boat.

We will be using the Marina Bay launch on Presque Isle. We will launch at safe light.

Typical Erie weather in the forecast. The tourney will happen rain or shine. Tournament Director will make the call Friday afternoon if it becomes a bay only tournament. A bay only tournament would certainly level out the playing field and can make things very interesting over the 2 days.

As we approach King of Bass, a reminder to please pre register. Please text/message me with questions.

If we have 10plus boats show up and want to register saturday am it will slow down my ability to launch everyone as early as possible. We are trying to give everyone the maximum amount of water time possible.
