Specialty double tulips first picks. Every spring I always wonder if they are worth the time and trouble. Planting in fall, pulling the tulip with the bulb on, cooling and storing them for up to 3 weeks (crazy right!), then cutting the bulb off and rehydrating them, but they are magical. This one grew at least 5 inches in the vase since Thursday night.

Anemones are coming. The first blooms are appearing (which are always short and then lengthen). They are certainly one of my most requested flowers.

I have not given up on ranunculus. Have tried several years and hoping this is the year!

Ideal temperatures for these "cool flowers" next week!!

Thinking spring AND fall. Propagating my first specialty chrysanthemum (mums) from two years ago "French Vanilla" with a tinge of apricot. The pots wintered over in a minimally heated shop very nicely. I have extras of these if anyone wants to extend their growing season and experiment.

Can't wait to expand my collection I bought last year with pink, peach and orange blooms.

The weather looks beautiful next week. Anemones have been growing inside since end of January and time to move them outside with ranunculus following. They love the 60 degree days and 40 degree nights and can tolerate down to 22 degrees. Aiming for Mothers Day blooms! So many more flowers to come!

It is time to purge some decor that is taking up too much room! Will be working on moving these along the next few months. This is just a sampling and have multiples of all (usually enough for at least 10 tables). Also lots of votives too. If you need something specific just let me know and we will see if I have it!

These dried grasses and white casperita pumpkins! They were perfect for The Fields Reserve backdrop. Thanks Hermanson Pumpkin Patch for coaching me on how to make those pumpkins last for 6 weeks. They are so cute.

Happy Halloween! This weather is spooky. 80 degree weather yesterday with a nice rain.

The spring flowers are confused and blooming. Snapdragons, zinnias and second blooms of lisianthus.
