Our Story
Hollow Creek Plantation is a rustic event venue, specializing in weddings. We are situated on 60 scenic and tranquil acres, located about 2 miles outside the Town of Ecru, Mississippi. We began our first full year of operation in 2014, as a family owned and operated business and remains so today. The owner, Terri Simpson has placed much focus on assuring that Hollow Creek Plantation provides both a beautiful and tranquil setting perfect for any wedding. The lakeside wedding ceremony site is located more than 2,000 feet from the nearest paved road to assure it’s tranquility. The lightly wooded, well landscaped and completely shaded environment provides beautiful surroundings and comfort to all who gather there. A short distance away is the “Barnside Pavilion” which contains over 3,000 square feet of covered space and is utilized for both rehearsal dinners and wedding receptions alike. The pavilion is very rustic, and is constructed of Cypress and Cedar. It has a vaulted cedar ceiling, specialty lighting, bathrooms with liquor barrel sinks, air conditioned catering kitchen and a garden area with additional string lighting.
In the winter of 2015, the “Farmhouse Bridal Quarters” was constructed. It received its name from its design being like a farmhouse, complete with a wrap around porch. In continuing the rustic decor of the venue cypress, cedar and popular wood grown here in Mississippi were used to construct the bridal quarters. The interior walls are finished with Popular wood, grown in Mississippi and milled right here in our barn at Hollow Creek Plantation.
As for how we do it, we attribute the success of our venue largely to our commitment to our customers, our passion and the affordability of our venue. When a bride selects us to be the host venue for her wedding, we are truly honored, because we understand that in doing so, she is entrusting us with one of the most important events of her life. That is a responsibility we take to heart making us do everything possible, to assure our facilities and service are worthy of such trust.
