Important (please read all the way to the end):

For the jam to continue, I have already mentioned things that need to happen:
*We need a consistent and functional location
* Help with setup and breakdown, and also:
--help with sound and other operational
Functions
As you know, we added an educational aspect to the program this past year. It has been helpful for many, especially some of my students.

I believe this is also an essential next step to educating this next generation about the power, history and influence of this art form. We have discussed moving towards an open jam format, BUT here is reality...
Without the blues, there would be few other music forms--No funk, no soul, no country....and certainly no rock.

Learning this, and the connections, shared vocabulary, etc. is essential. Which is why we have always been open in the sense of welcoming BLUES BASED MUSIC.

There has also been recent discussion about the state of the blues scene here in the Chippewa Valley. As stated, there is a very limited scene, and building something of substance will require effort and investment. How do we do this?

I have ideas, and am already building a few things. We need collaboration and connections. Are you a part of this?

Hi all...Due to unforseen circumstances, we have chosen to no longer hold the jam at Heartbreakers. We do not want this to be the end of the jam. However, for it to continue, we need two things:

*A Location that can provide protection from the elements. A year round situation would be best

*Help with setup, and teardown, along with other possible specialized tasks
