This spring had proven challenging for planting flowers. Due to the dramatic fluctuations in temperatures, I have had to postpone my planting dates. I am confident, however, that it will be the most successful year yet.

So today, we had a beautiful little visitor. This Tiger Stripe showed up and seemed very appreciative of our beautiful flowers. It trusted us enough to get within about five inches of it for these photos. Come out this Sunday and see us at our stand at the corner of East High and Barron. It will be worth it. I mean, butterflies can't be wrong.

We set up our flower stand today and I meet one of the kindest and most generous men. He rode up on this ultra-cool electric bike and handed me two very nice bud vases. He said that he understands entrepreneurship and would like to help out in any way he could. After chatting for a while about how much Josh and I admired his bike he offered to let Josh ride it. It was brand new and the thought of scratching the paint or worse made me nervous. Josh was excited and thrilled that he would even consider it. We talked some more and he asked if I could use some rudbeckia. He said that he has tons of it and that it would be no problem to cut it and bring it back to the stand. It was gorgeous and I quickly got it into some water. I was already floating above cloud nine and then he asked if we could use peony blooms off of his 20 plants in the spring. I instantly replied yes of course that would be awesome. It's not often that I come across someone so kind. The world needs more people like him who just help without expecting anything in return. It was a slow day for selling bouquets but meeting him gave us hope and support that our efforts are not going unnoticed.
