Orrick Acres started as a small hobby farm in 2013. In the Spring of 2017 we decided to share our passion and knowledge of horse-back riding with our surrounding area. There was such a huge demand and interest in what we had to offer we are now in the process of adding on to our outdoor riding area, providing more "lesson horses" and expanding to offer a Mobile Petting Zoo as well.

Our zoo crew will be at Park-A-Palooza next Saturday, June 6th, from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the Northside Complex in St. Joseph!

Come meet some of your favorite Orrick Acres animals and enjoy all the family-friendly activities. 🐴🐐🐑🦙🐮

This event is packed with free activities for kids, plus crafts, games, balloon animals, food vendors, pony rides (for riders 65 # and under), and the petting zoo! ❤️

Can anyone ever truly understand them? 🤪

Over the years, I’ve had good moms, bad moms, and mediocre moms. Usually they stay in their lane.

Last year, I had a phenomenal mama. She raised twins. First picture — cuddling with her daughter.

This year? She plopped out a healthy baby, took one look at him, and apparently decided her parenting career was over. 😆 “Naaa… not this year.” And walked away.

We tried every trick in the book to convince her otherwise, but she was absolutely committed to abandonment. So while I just weaned all my other bottle babies…

I just got promoted right back to full-time goat mom. 🤣🍼🐐
