Cabin Creek Lodge- Easton

Cabin Creek Lodge- Easton Spacious, beautiful and rustic lodge nestled on the banks of the Yakima River in a National Forest. Perfect as a wedding venue & for reunions!

We are renting Lodge only as a single unit-- not renting rooms separately-- so best for group stays and events. Although Airbnb's system doesn't go above 16, the Lodge has beds to accommodate 40+. This is the perfect wedding venue with beautiful scenery for an outdoor wedding ceremony, large dining room & outdoor deck for your reception and lodging for plenty of family and friends to stay overnigh

t!! This is also a DIY space-- you set it up & break it down-- BUT no required vendors, no curfew, no noise restrictions!! We also have all the equipment you need provided on site, no need to rent them separately-- chairs, tables, tablecloths, dinnerware, glassware, etc. We have a commercial kitchen available for you or a caterer to use. We even have audio equipment on hand useful for both the ceremony and dancing later! There is a two night minimum and overnight stays must always include a weekend night (Friday or Saturday). The rates you see here include the exclusive use of the property and overnight stay for up to 40 guests. There is an additional $30 nightly per overnight guest above that base number. If you have some additional guests who are camping, then it's $30 per tent/trailer per night (maximum four people per tent or trailer).

*Discounts for longer stays! -- 3rd night or more- 20% discount on those days rates!*

**There is a "day of event" fee when the total number in attendance exceeds 50: 51-120 total guests = $500 / 121-200 total guests = $800. **

(Any event booked/arranged prior to the Sept 2021 rate change has fees of $800 or $1200).

**If you are renting for a wedding, someone MUST come and view the place well in advance of the event itself. This helps to ensure that there is no misunderstanding about available items, space and needs for setup.**

There are 6 guest rooms with a total of 38 beds:
*First Floor-- Rooms #'s 1,2 & 4 have 3 twin bunk beds each (6 people to a room). Room #3 has one queen bunk bed & 2 twin bunk beds. (8 people possible).
*Second Floor-- Room #6 has 2 triple twin bunk beds + 1 regular twin bunk + 1 queen bunk bed (12 people possible). Room #7 has a king bed + 1 triple twin bunk bed (5 people possible), jacuzzi and balcony. (Small note: there is NO Room #5). Other space details:
-There is a bathroom with sink, toilet & shower in each of the six bedrooms. There are 2 public toilets on each floor as well as two extra showers on the 2nd floor.
-Meeting room (1000 sq ft) with chairs and tables & audio/video equipment.
-Lounge space on the 2nd floor with DishTV & DVD/Blu-ray player available for viewing by use of screen and projector.
-Game room with pool table, ping pong, foosball and air hockey.
-Dining room space for 100-ish (during warm weather, there is additional dining space on the deck for another 60+). The commercial kitchen is available for any kind of cooking use as well as an outdoor gas grill (not during winter season though). Also plates, utensils, wine & champagne glasses, tablecloths and refrigerator and freezer are always available. **Note-- besides the general cleaning requirements of the Lodge, there are specific cleaning procedures if the commercial kitchen is used. These procedures MUST be followed or guest may incur a $200 penalty.**

**Be aware that in general, college student groups are NOT welcome to stay at the Lodge (due to persistent damages and inability to respect our House Rules.)**

Finally finished a long-desired project: making a little bridge over the muck and wetness to that section of the river where you can wade and safely swim a bit. (Nice for photos too!) :)

A few weeks late, but with the help of my son, Kyle, we finally finished part 2 of the deck beam replacement! :)

LONG overdue landscaping project at the Twin Ponds Cabin:

*Old weeds pulled and rotting stump removed.
*Lousy invasive crabapple bush dug up and "deleted".
*Stone border re-established.
*Simple sprinkler system in place!
*Lavender and elderberry bush planted!
*Wildflower seed scattered all about!

At the moment, it still looks kinda bare, but we'll wait and see what happens! :)

So, winter brought with it the ruin of one corner of our deck. It was sagging badly and pulling away the outer boards revealed that two massive beams along the outside were rotting away (thanks to termites & water damage). This week I was successful in fixing the worst of it— demolishing the 12’ corner section and getting it replaced and better supported. Let’s see how far I get next week!

So, the folding chair restoration project begins!
Sadly our natural wood folding chairs have become badly weathered & worn over recent years & no amount of sanding, staining or polyurethaning (?) could improve them…so it’s time to prime & paint! I found the most agreeable color I could and now the long process begins.
As we have about 150 chairs….it’ll take awhile (meaning— weeks), but hopefully will help them last a few more years! :)
