Funday Friday hits again! This week’s cookees: Cora and Athena, and Evan and Declan had the kitchen sending out amazing aromas. They cooked all week long with enthusiasm and created delicious meals. Friday they chose to make strawberry cupcakes w/strawberry buttercream, turtle brownies, apple cider donuts, and vanilla and chocolate ice creams! Wow! Great week, kids, enjoy the rest of the summer.🩷

The first week of “Claudia’s Kids’ Cooking Clinic” has ended and what a great week we had! This week Mackenzie, Katelyn, Isla and Lennon joined us on our journey around the world. They loved their trips and the foods the made from those countries. Funday Friday was today and the girls made amazing desserts. Your kids rock! Keep cooking. Have a great rest of your summer and great school year ahead. See you next year.😘

Saturday the bride, Ali, was treated to a cooking party by MoH and included mother, mil, sil, niece, and college friends. They started off with tomato bruschetta and humus. Made home raviolis and cavatellis with a meat sauce and marinara sauce. Finished the meal with chocolate mousse. What a great time they had and we had! Thank you ladies! Best wishes for many decades of love and good health, Ali. And Keri, you’re next!!!

It was Christmas again Friday when Sam used his Santa GC. His request? Chicken Yakisoba and French macarons! Sam you never cease to amaze me, awesome job!!! See you in a few weeks! Little sister Sophia stepped in for some additional cuteness.

On this hot and humid Juneteenth we celebrated Christmas! Theresa was given a gift certificate from her son and today was cooking day! She made two delicious fish dishes. Great job, Theresa!

School's out for Easton Public Schools students, so it's time to celebrate and kickoff the 2025 summer reading program at the Ames Free Library!

Join us for...
🐉 a bubble-filled dragon Dance Party (with snacks) in Queset Garden (in the event of inclement weather, the dance party will move inside Queset House to the 1st Floor Presentation Commons)
🐉 library help registering for the Reading Dragons & Friends summer reading program on ReadSquared, then pick up your welcome packet in the Children's Room
a special kids craft in the Teen Den where you can create your own Element Amulet (while supplies last)
🐉 a workshop with cosplayer Eliza at Queset House (registration required) to create your own dragon headbands! Click on one of these links to register for one of the three Dragon Headband Workshops: 2:00 PM, 2:45 PM, 3:30 PM.

The fun begins at 2:00 PM and ends at 4:00 PM. We hope to see you there!
