What a dreary day, BUT our 40th Anniversary Chamber Music Festival is just around the corner and that makes us happy here at Chesapeake Music. Now it's time to tell you about the 2nd night of performances on June 7th at 7:30pm. What a night full of music it will be!
Experience Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 5 in A Major, which pays homage to both Mozart and Haydn and offers a study of Mozartian Classical elegance and nascent Beethovian Romanticism. Delight in two short pieces by French pianist and composer Cécile Chaminade, “Automne” and “Autrefois,” featuring Rising Star Albert Cano Smit, and Dvořák’s Piano Quartet No. 2 in E-flat Major, a work demonstrating the composer’s gift for lyricism, romantic sweep, and exquisite tone.
General Admission tickets are $70; six concerts can be purchased for the price of five through a subscription package ($350). Chesapeake Music also offers a limited number of free tickets for students, music educators, and Talbot County First Responders, as well as a “buy-one-get-one” option for first-time patrons of Chesapeake Music.
