I decided to put that bit first because the next bit is just not even anything necessary.

Me: I’m gonna delete instagram because I waste too much time (that I don’t have) on the app! But I’m gonna download it every Friday and have a post created to share!
Also me: doesn’t create posts to share and doesn’t download the app weekly.

Honestly, I’m fine with it! Intermittently downloading the app when I’m ready to post something is just how my life works right now. I am sad I miss messages (please email me, for inquiries, y’all!) and I am doing lots of exciting work that I DO want to share. But social media is just a tiny part of my real life and even business is, too. And I don’t wanna make its presence any bigger than a speck from now on.

I DIGRESS. Give me city sessions ALL. THE. TIME.

Oh, hi!!!! I’ve been off this app for a minute in all capacities except logging on via iMac to read messages (they make it super annoying to do that without the app). It’s a much bigger conversation, but I find myself realizing that I have no time to spend on social media. It doesn’t add to my life except for the fact that I love sharing personal photos and stories as well as my work here! Otherwise it’s pretty draining and a massive time suck, let’s be honest. However, photography IS my business and I *should* be posting somewhat regularly on here, I suppose! More than should, I genuinely would like to. While my reasons and boundaries are more personal than business, I’m exercising “social media Fridays” where I do what I need to do- on Fridays only. Otherwise the app stays deleted. And while you may say, so what? I don’t care! Posting about it is a way to stay accountable, so here we are! 😂

Just a quick lil share because I love this actual laughing shot, unintentional as is best! I am catching up on all the emails, all the editing, all the things. Anyone wanna come play with Olive while I sit at my desk next week? 😅 My girl is cutting her first two teeth and is being such a trooper! But she demands allllll my time and says I can’t sit at my desk. “Or else!” she says.

It’s funny to notice how people are clearly using AI to create captions (and do just about everything else with it, too) that sound nothing like their own tone. But my goodness. I’ll just always be bad at captions because I sort of say the same thing. Like, “hey, I love my couples and they’re perfect and look at them!” 😌

Yessss, let’s have a picnic! I love bringing your ideas to life. Wanna have your session at a brewery? Coffee shop? Let’s take a literal hike and shoot your session on the top of a mountain. MOTHERHOOD MINI SESSIONS: outdoor laundry vibes!

I certainly didn’t get it together BEFORE Mother’s Day, but does it matter? I’d like to celebrate motherhood more than just one day.

I’m offering motherhood mini sessions during the last week of May (dates to be posted soon!) on several dates, in Taunton. These are perfect for maternity, pregnant announcements, mommy & me sessions, etc. Even if you just like the vibe and want to do it solo just because, let’s go!

I put this scene together quickly and with less planning than I envisioned while we were visiting friends in the Catskills! But the mini session setup will be more involved. Think: more sheets hanging, other basket options, fresh flowers, a stool or chair, etc. Sun filtered through the sheets, ahh, lovely! You can even bring some personal props or things to hang on the clothesline!
