We had the pleasure of having my frat, Cadet Mbodj from the U.S. Military Academy aka West Point, visit and present to our unit. Thanks for enlightening and inspiring our cadets to pursue their personal and professional goals.

We also hosted our first Cadet Chief’s season and indoctrinated our newest Cadet Chief into our Cadet Chief’s mess. Congrats Cadet Cruz! Bravo Zulu!

Our unit also led the charge to collect and deliver “775 LBs” of non-perishable items and deliver them to the Anne Arundel County Food Bank to fight hunger in Anne Arundel County. Note: “In Anne Arundel County, 1 in 8 families struggle with food insecurity.”

Veteran’s Day, 11 Nov 2021 is the most enjoyable and rewarding Veteran’s Day I’ve experienced to date. My NJROTC cadets did an awesome job and I had the pleasure of meeting my frat/100yr old WWII Veteran William “Billy” Lewis, and hearing the 8th Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard (Dr Vince Patton) deliver a powerful speech at the FRA Annapolis Veteran’s Day Program. In addition, I was fortunate to meeting some additional Coast Shipmates (Master Chief and Senior Chief) who sacrificed and paved the way for a country boy like me from rural, S.C. to serve country and shape the future of our society.
