I absolutely love all of the different places this business takes us. Traveling often is becoming quite a staple for us! I will say this though... there is something so refreshing when we have the opportunity to photograph weddings so close to home.

We loved this wedding so much. Stephanie got ready in her childhood home, and to capture moments like that is an honor that is never lost on me.

Also not pictured: we had quite the audience while we did wedding party photos in downtown Hollidaysburg 😂 I'm talking an entire street FULL of people out celebrating PumpkinFest. Such a vibe hearing so many people cheering for these two! I can't wait to share more 🤍

There have been times where I have often questioned my purpose in this life. Like, what was I made for? These amazing humans (who may look a little familiar 😉) flew LITTLE OLD ME out to Colorado earlier this week to capture these images for them. We got to spend two whole days together, and if I'm being honest, it was not enough time. Sara and Cole were the most gracious of hosts, and I am just overwhelmed with joy that they trusted me to do this session for them in their most sacred place. In my travels back home, I left CO feeling so grateful, well-fed, and full of purpose. I am right where I need to be, and I am just so proud of these photos 🤍

Rachel and Danny are the definition of “human exclamation points,” and if you’re a Swiftie, you’ll know exactly what I mean by that statement ☺️

We talked about their wedding planning, baseball, hockey, Taylor’s new album, and they seriously just check off all the boxes for us. We are so excited to capture their wedding day next year at !

Tomorrow I head out to Colorado for a once in a lifetime session with an amazing couple, and if I can remember to document my travels, I’ll take you along for the ride with me! 😅😂

We photographed a lovely wedding recently where we just meshed really well with the parents of the bride. We talked about the story of how we started our business, talked about our kids, a little bit of everything in general. Throughout the wedding day we would catch up about how the day was going, just like old friends 😂 in one of our discussions, I talked about how much I loooove black and white photos. I gave this entire speech about how I can always feel when certain photos just need their moment to shine in black and white. I explained it in a way during cocktail hour that had everyone so interested. I’ve actually never explained it in real words outside of my brain before, but basically, I want you to feel the color but as black and white. The emotions captured should be colorful, while the image itself… is not…

So yeah. This image just speaks colorful, raw, and full of emotion to me. And bonus that it’s one of my dearest friends Jaime and her beautiful fam 🤍

It has been an insane couple of weeks! Somewhere in-between juggling sessions and weddings, I turned 35 last Thursday.

I’ve often wondered about how close I am to my expiration date for photographing weddings. Like, at what point will I become “too old” to keep going? 😂 Is it when your couples don’t recognize phrases, terms, or songs that every Millennial knows? I gotta know!

Anyhoo. Cheers to the McClures! The honor of photographing weddings ten minutes from our home is one that is never lost on me. We loved that Mary-Kate had 5 flower girls alongside her this day! They were every bit of adorable that you can imagine 🥰
