I received this message just now that instantly brought me to tears.
Not simply because I’m emotional, but because lately I’ve been reflecting heavily on where I was, where I’ve been, and where I’m going. That message nudged me in a way I didn’t know I needed. It reminded me that Mo is that girl, but more importantly, I AM that girl.
Not from a place of arrogance, but from a place of remembering.
I remembered how many people I’ve helped along the way while building and running my own business. How many dreams I’ve encouraged, goals I’ve supported, ideas I’ve poured into, and people I’ve pushed, motivated, mentored, and provided insight to, even while dealing with my own struggles, circumstances, and uncertainties. Never been one to gatekeep; always lending an ear; providing necessary resources, teachable moments and more.
Whether I was up or down, thriving or barely holding it together, I was still making a difference.
And honestly, I had forgotten.
Life had caught up with me so much that I became consumed by my circumstances. I lost sight of the impact I’ve made and the person I’ve been to so many others. I needed this reminder for such a time as this.
And this week has been an amazing week.
A week of silence.
A week of growth.
A week of reflection.
A week of accountability.
Just a genuinely great and amazing week.
One great thing after another has taken place, allowing me to get a glimpse of what God may be preparing to do. I’ve realized that sometimes you have to step aside and let God be God so that He can truly BE GOD in your life.
And I’ve come to.
All I could think about this week was the story of Saul becoming Paul. That moment of awakening, clarity, conviction, and transformation. I’ve come to, and I thank God that I was able to come to.
I’ve had to go back to some of the people closest to me whom I felt I had neglected while trying to survive everything happening around me. And I thank God for grace and mercy, because they saw me.
Not only did they see me, they embraced me.
And that feels like freedom.
It feels like a burden has been lifted. I feel lighter. I feel clearer. I feel more at peace.
Because right now, I’m pivoting. Things are changing. I’m evolving…personally, professionally, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. There is a shift happening, and while it has not been easy, I am overwhelmed with gratitude, joy, and peace.
I’ve come to understand that when certain things arise, fall apart, or come against me, God may be trying to reveal something, redirect me, or elevate me to another level.
So today, I am grateful for the reminder.
I have made a difference.
I am making a difference.
I am still that girl.
I have come to.
And God is not finished with me yet.
