I'm going to edit this to add my pizza dough recipe because I keep being asked. Also, KitchenAid is not a key factor in this recipe. It just happens to be in my picture. The recipe will be at the bottom.
I started making "frozen pizza" to have on hand. I can make 4 for my freezer for a fraction of the cost of traditional frozen pizzas. I par bake my crust. Then cool and top them. Wrap them and pop into the freezer. I then just bake in the oven at 400 for about 15 minutes.
My family loves them!
Pizza dough
This will make two 12-in pieces. Sometimes you can make three depending on how thick you want the crust.
Mix one heaping tablespoon of yeast to
1 cup warm water, 1 Tablespoon yeast or one packet and a tablespoon of sugar. Let the yeast bloom. Add in 1 tbsp of olive oil and 1 cup of flour. Mix it into a batter. Add a teaspoon of salt and then start adding flour a little at a time until it comes together and you can knead it into a ball. Usually about two cups of flour depending on your humidity. After you knead it into a ball then put it in an oiled bowl, cover it with Saran wrap and let it rise. I put mine in my oven with the light on and no heat. Usually takes about an hour or less. Once it's risen, punch it down and create your pizza.
Par bake your pizza crust For 5 minutes on 400. Let it cool and then put your toppings on and freeze it.
