!!! so much to say about these two and this day. I donโt even know where to begin. Iโm just thankful to have been there. ๐ค first of all: they grew over 90% of their flowers themselves. unreal. they got married in the backyard of his childhood home, in front of the orchard and honey bees, surrounded by people that love them. they made all of the bread & their friends & family catered the entire wedding for 400 people. I foraged asparagus fern as tall as me from the field for the ceremony arrangements. we picked and washed the fruit from the vineyard & orchard for the guests to eat. I was allowed to cut as many fruiting raspberry branches from the berry patch as I wanted & I stuck them in everything I possibly could. a total dream. It was a family effort to harvest all of the flowers early on the week of the wedding. (I loved being able to control the stem lengths!) once the next round of cosmos came on crop later in the week b&a hand delivered hundreds more stems to my studio. my young cousins were in and around helping me add flowers to the ceremony meadow. God in his abundant kindness gave us cloud coverage and a sprinkle of rain that kept the cosmos happy until the wedding. iykyk. b&a had the most intentional ceremony & yeah I for sure cried lol. throughout the evening there were children running around with 3ft tall zinnia stems using them as swords & I didnโt even care that they had taken apart my arrangements because it was THAT endearing. I could go on and on..
so many different hands made this wedding possible. the love and intention behind this day was incredible. the common denominator that made it all come together: a shared love of Jesus Christ & Barak & Amy. b&a love, and are loved by, so many people!! xxoo
