Over 12 years ago, I began Platz Photography.
I have watched your families, and mine, grow through the years and have loved every moment. Over the last few years, I have become more and more involved in our family business of providing architecture and engineering through Platz Design Group, LLC. It has come time to choose which business will be my main focus and it is with bittersweet emotion that I am announcing the closing of Platz Photography.
I know that I will miss capturing so many beautiful moments but I also love helping people achieve their dreams and goals by creating architectural designs for their homes and businesses. I am also able to work alongside my family on a day-to-day basis and, ultimately, our family is the most important thing in my life.
I feel blessed to have had so many successful years in a fiercely competitive market, and I want you to know that the relationships I have made and the education I have received through photography have been a blessing (and will continue to be) in my life and that of my family's.
I will leave this page up for a while but I thank you for all of the memories, the love, and the friendship. Here is to new adventures!

Congratulations to the Class of 2021!
This year Sandy was able to hold their graduation ceremony at the Sandy High football stadium (for the first time in many years!) and families were able to watch their students cross the platform and receive their diplomas. I was so happy to be able to capture these shots for the families, I always get a little misty at these things. Each graduating student receives a complimentary digital 5x7. Congratulations to the Class of 2021!
This year Estacada was able to hold their graduation ceremony and families were able to watch their student cross the platform and receive their diplomas. The day started off beautifully and then started raining hard just as the ceremony began. The audience and graduates who were seated on the field got pretty wet but they were great sports. Turns out stadium seats were the best seats in the house! lol! While not an ideal situation, I was so happy to be able to capture these shots for the families. One of the perks of being a photographer is knowing lots of awesome people :) One of my favorites owns All4Fun Cakes LLC :) Shannon made us this beautiful gluten-free coconut raspberry cake for my daughter's 15th birthday. After a brief chat and a request for daffodils and pale green from the birthday girl, she came up with this lovely piece of art. Thank you Shannon!

(Santa is in the high risk category you know) Lori Best Photography & Platz Photography are offering outdoor mini sessions with Santa! They will be socially distanced and we are excited to make some wonderful, safe memories with you all! They will be held ONE DAY ONLY on December 5th so time slots are limited. Sessions will be held in Government Camp- there is lots of snow there now so we're excited!
Your family's 15 min session is just $99
and includes your first digital image
(of course, you get to choose which one), a beautiful keepsake ornament and a special gift from Santa.
Additional digital images can be purchased for just $15 each.
