My goodness, how can another year have gone by already???
The older I get, the faster they seem to go by.
As I look back at 2025, there has never been a year that the phrase "the show must go on" has ever been so poignant.
Most brides/couples don't even know about this. I shared it with very few. My husband passed away suddenly in mid February. And yet the following week I had a wedding at Pinewood Weddings and Events in Cambridge that I had to do before we even had his funeral. So many emotions! I pretty much just went into "GO" mode and didn't stop until weddings were done for the year. This obviously shows my love and dedication to my job, but that creative outlet literally saved me. There were plenty of awful things to deal with over several months and there were days I didn't want to get out of bed. But flowers are my joy and I thank all of you for asking me to be a part of your special days.
As if losing John wasn't hard enough, my beloved dog, Jax, went into kidney failure and crossed the rainbow bridge in September.
What keeps me going, you ask? It's the amazing smiles, kind words and gratitude I receive from my brides and their families. It means so much to me!!
Thank you so much to my daughter, Natalie, for helping me along this year's journey. I don't think I could have made it without you. And to her friends Rachel and Erica, your help assisting with deliveries was amazing.
Many thanks to the fabulous wedding venues who I am privileged to be a preferred vendor at. Annie - Hidden Greens Golf Club, Kendra - Brackett's Crossing Golf Club, Luke - Minneapolis Golf Club, and Tracy - St. Paul College Club. And to the countless others who I get to several times each year.
As I move into 2026 I'm going to slow down a bit. Much needed after the year I've had. But my dedication and work ethic stays strong because this is my passion and warms my heart and soul.
Much Love and Cheers to a Happy and Healthy 2026!
Claire
