⚠️ WINTER STORM ALERT — IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE ⚠️
For all tented and temporary fabric-covered structures
A Winter Storm / Arctic System is approaching the region, bringing high winds, heavy snow, and extreme cold. These conditions pose serious risks to any non-permanent structure, especially those with fabric or vinyl roofs such as party tents, carports, and pop-up canopies.
🚨 IMMEDIATE RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. Do NOT use or occupy any tented structure during high wind, ice, or snow conditions.
2. Remove or safely take down all fabric roofs or sidewalls if possible before the storm begins.
3. Never allow snow or ice to accumulate on top of a tent — even a few inches can cause collapse or frame damage.
4. Check and secure all anchoring points, stakes, and ballasts. High winds can loosen or dislodge them quickly.
5. Keep heat sources and acetylene or propane equipment away from fabric or enclosed spaces — risk of fire or asphyxiation increases in storm conditions.
6. After the storm, inspect for any frame bending, loose bolts, torn fabric, or ground shifting before reusing.
7. Report any visible sagging, movement, or strain on the tent immediately — evacuate if in doubt.

• Acetylene and other compressed gases should be stored indoors or in protected enclosures, away from freezing temperatures and snow buildup.
• Do not attempt to heat or thaw cylinders directly with open flame or heaters.
• Check regulators and hoses for cracks caused by cold temperatures before use.
