🌸 It's Petal It Forward Day! 🌸

The flower shop might be closed today, but apparently I just can't stay away from flowers! 😂💐

Today is Petal It Forward Day, a day dedicated to spreading kindness and brightening someone's day with flowers.

And if there's one thing I believe, it's that you don't always need a special occasion to give someone flowers.

Sometimes, just because is the very best reason. ❤️

So today I'm planning to head out and share a little flower-filled happiness with some of our neighbors.

No special occasion. No orders to fill. No deliveries to make.

Just flowers, smiles, and hopefully a few brighter days. 🌸

Because sometimes the best part of being a small-town florist isn't selling flowers.

It's getting to give them away. 🤍

🌸 Tuesday Product Spotlight | A Little Homecoming Recap! 💃🕺
Well, that's a wrap on Homecoming 2026! ❤️
With both of our local schools celebrating this past Saturday, it was a busy week of ribbons, flowers, tiny details, and LOTS of pretty colors around here!
And I have to say, I absolutely love seeing all the different dresses and outfits and getting to create something special to go with each one.
From soft and simple to bright and bold, no two corsages were quite the same, and that's part of what makes Homecoming flowers so much fun to design. 🌸
A HUGE thank you to everyone who trusted Franklin's with their Homecoming flowers this year!
I know a corsage or boutonniere is just one little piece of the day, but getting to be part of those memories and all those pictures is something I never take for granted.
I hope everyone had a wonderful time, made some great memories, and that all the parents survived the picture-taking chaos! 😂📸

🌸 Only in a Small Town Monday... Sometimes the Little Things Are Actually Pretty Big. ❤️

A little while ago, I answered the phone at the flower shop, just like I do every day.

On the other end was another florist calling to place an order for delivery in our area.

Nothing unusual about that. We fill orders for other flower shops all the time.

Except this call was from Winston Flowers in Boston.

Now, that name probably doesn't mean much to most people around here, but to me? It was a pretty big deal. 😂

Winston Flowers is one of those flower shops I've followed and admired for years. Their designs, their attention to detail, the way they present their flowers... they're one of the businesses I look to for inspiration.

And here they were, calling Franklin's Small Town Flowers in little Dushore, Pennsylvania, to take care of one of their customers.

The funny part? I didn't even put it all together until AFTER I hung up the phone! 😂

I decided to send them a little email afterward, just to let them know how much I admired their work and how special that phone call was to me.

And they wrote back.

They asked if Franklin's would be interested in becoming one of their preferred florists for our area. ❤️

Sometimes, when you're running a little business in a little town, you get so caught up in the everyday work that you forget to look around and see how far you've come.

I'm still the same small-town florist, making flowers, sweeping up stems, washing buckets, and hoping I'm doing a good job.

But every once in a while, something happens that reminds me that little businesses can do pretty big things.

And this was one of those moments. 🤍

🌸 Flower Shop Friday | Small Flowers, BIG Attention to Detail!
It's officially Homecoming flower time around here! 💃🕺
And here's a little something you might not know about corsages and boutonnieres...
Some of the smallest things we make are also some of the most time-consuming! 😂
There's choosing just the right flowers, coordinating colors with dresses and suits, picking ribbons, carefully wiring and taping tiny blooms, and making sure everything is secure enough to survive pictures, hugs, dancing, and whatever else Homecoming night might bring!
And then there's making sure every single one is just a little different, because no two kids (or their outfits!) are exactly alike. ❤️
It's detailed work, and by the time we're finished, there are usually little pieces of ribbon, floral tape, and flower stems EVERYWHERE. 😂
But you know what? I love it.
Because tomorrow, those little flowers will be part of some pretty big memories for kids and families right here in our community.
And that's one of the things I love most about this job. 🤍
To all our local students celebrating Homecoming tomorrow, have the BEST time!
And parents... make sure you take approximately 500 pictures before they leave. We know you will anyway! 😂📸

There are certain things a customer can say that just make a florist happy, and "I want something BIG and BEAUTIFUL" is definitely one of them! 🤣
A friend called this week wanting flowers delivered to his wife for their 20th wedding anniversary and he wanted to make sure it was something special....You don't have to tell me twice!
I always love putting things together for special friends. One of my favorite parts about being a small town florist is being a part of moments like these. Helping people celebrate their love whether it is a single rose or an arrangement that needs its own seat in the delivery vehicle.
Happy anniversary to some of my very favorite people.🍾💐❤️

💃 SATURDAY — Saturday Celebrations
Homecoming season is almost here! 🤍
There is just something about Homecoming in a small town.
The dresses and suits.
The flowers.
The pictures in everyone's yards.
The football game.
The dance.
And parents taking approximately 700 pictures before anyone is allowed to leave. 😂
These are the little moments that don't feel quite so little when you look back on them years later.
On October 10, we'll have TWO local schools celebrating Homecoming, and Franklin's gets to play one tiny part in all those memories. 🌸
That's pretty special.
We're busy getting ready for all those corsages and boutonnieres, so if you still need to place your order, give us a call or stop in soon!

Confessions of a Small Town Florist... Homecoming Edition 😂🌸
One of my favorite parts of making Homecoming flowers?
Seeing the dresses. 😂
Bring me the picture. Show me the shoes. Tell me about the jewelry. Show me the tie. Tell me what colors they absolutely DO NOT want. 😂
Because sometimes the best flowers aren't the ones that perfectly match the dress — they're the ones that make the whole thing come together.

🤍 Only in a Small Town Monday | Wedding Weekend
What a weekend for weddings! 💐🤍
There’s something pretty special about loading up a vehicle full of flowers and heading out to be a tiny part of one of the biggest days in someone’s life.
This weekend was filled with bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces, last-minute details, lots of driving, and that moment when everything finally comes together. ❤️
I say it all the time, but it really never gets old.
We may be a little flower shop in a little town, but these flowers get to travel to some pretty beautiful places and become part of some pretty important memories.
And one of my favorite parts? So often there’s a connection somewhere — a family we know, someone we went to school with, a familiar face, or someone who knows someone. That’s just how small-town life works. 🥰
To our couples from this weekend, thank you for trusting Franklin’s with such an important piece of your day. It truly means more than you know.
Now that everything has been delivered and the flower buckets are a little emptier… I can finally say:
