River levels with Robert I'm just trying to protect the last wild, untamed,unpolluted, unf**ked-up rivers , lakes and oceans in the World. A: Because it's there.

This page started because of a dream conceived in the late 90's .... I was learning to kayak , but had no reliable way to check the river gauges (200 miles away) ...

so I dreamed of hosting a call in radio talk show geared towards river levels , and where we could go kayaking .... I dreamed of interviewing the pro's , reviewing gear , local shuttle beta , etc. etc. .... but it has merged in to

a place for me to share all my water related conservation news and info , and maybe some cute picks of me taking my friends kids fishing. Just wait until you feel that white water under you. Q: What the hell you wanna go f #$k around in that river for?

It starts with knowing how to get in and out of the water, and knowing your limits. Also, know that rivers can change quickly from relatively mild to wild.
