🤍 Event Tip:
This week, Kat and I are working on a fun Boho Bonfire! It’s a personal gathering and not for a client but I wanted to share a decor budget tip with you all.
We have the foundation, a theme that fits our audience, but sometimes you can drown in ideas (and debt) trying to “Pinterest” your event. You can get great inspiration from Pinterest and other sites but always remember, social media is a highlight reel. Don’t let the pressure to mimic those pictures put you in a spiral over overwhelming pressure.
For this Boho bonfire we’ve gathered some photos from Pinterest to inspire but we’ve “shopped” our homes, thrift stores, and Facebook marketplace. We don’t want to go broke on decor that isn’t easily repurposed nor that we would feel wasteful throwing away. We’ve made a list of the most important items to create the theme, this helps us stay on budget and not purchase too much “fluff”. Once we get the main items, if there’s room in the budget we can get the more superfluous items.
I’m so excited to see it all together on Friday; it may not be Pinterest worthy but it’s perfect for the event it is: a casual gathering of friends. Never underestimate the power of staying in budget; you’ll enjoy your event 10 times more if you know you didn’t break the bank and still met the theme.
