La Plata County Fairgrounds and Event Center The La Plata County Fairgrounds is located on 32 acres in the heart of Durango.

Features include a 10,000 square foot exhibit hall, 5 meeting rooms, a picnic pavilion, 2 arenas, horse stalls, 2 baseball fields and 6 RV spaces.

Heads up! The La Plata County Extension Building is getting a much-needed new roof!
The Extension Building will be closed to the public, now through Monday, December 1, 2025 (pending weather or construction delays).
During this time, Colorado State University Extension-La Plata County, W**d Management, and the La Plata County Fairgrounds and Event Center staff will be working remotely. While we can’t accommodate walk-ins, we’re still available by phone and email.
Appointments may be available depending on construction progress — call 970-382-6468 to schedule.

Other Fairgrounds facilities remain open!
The Exhibit Hall, pavilion, arena, and outdoor spaces are unaffected.
This may also affect school pick-ups and drop-offs.

Women in Ag has been RESCHEDULED! 🚜

Unfortunately, because the La Plata County Fairgrounds and Event Center is under construction, and will not be open in time for our conference. We are certainly disappointed, but we had to make the hard decision to postpone the conference. We know this can be an inconvenience to you and we greatly apologize.

We are moving the conference date to March 5 and 6, 2026. We are confident that the new conference will be that much better! If you are able to attend the conference in March, your registration will carry over. However, if you cannot attend in March, we will fully refund your registration.

Again, we apologize for this inconvenience and hope we will see you on March 5 and 6 at the La Plata County Fairgrounds.

It's tough being a pumpkin after Halloween🎃. All the carving, the glow, the spooky fun... and now, you're just a sad, saggy gourd. Instead of tossing your festive friend into the trash, bring your retired pumpkin to the Pumpkin Drop-off and Leaf Collection on Saturday and Sunday, November 1 and 2, held north of the Outdoor Arena in the RV Lot at the La Plata County Fairgrounds and Event Center.
