"May each rain drop be a blessing upon your wedding". This is what the officiant told my husband and I on our rainy wedding day in 2007 and this is what I told Kelsey and Jonathan yesterday when the rain came. This couple laughed through it all and I that's how I know these two kids are gonna be just fine!

Purg / Upper Hermosa / 550 below Coal Bank ~8,500–9,500 ft Sept. 27–Oct. 4
La Plata Canyon ~7,500–10,000 ft Sept. 28–Oct. 6
Hermosa Valley / Animas Valley ~6,600–7,500 ft Oct. 2–10
Durango proper ~6,500 ft Oct. 5–15
