Let’s reminisce on C+D’s sweet summer elopement in the San Juans, shall we?

Their morning started with the sunrise, a cup of coffee on the back deck of their airbnb and a sweet first look before their day of adventure.

By 11:30am they had exchanged rings, enjoyed a glass of champagne and frolicked through wildflowers with their favorite people.

Their post-ceremony adventure was filled with hidden lakes and waterfalls as they made their way back to town for an evening of celebrating. Where an intimate tablescape awaited filled with wildflowers and delicious food!

Between the sweet meaningful words shared over dinner, their dog’s stamp of approval on the marriage license and the gorgeous light of the sunsetting while they enjoyed their first dance, I don’t think anything could have felt more meaningful than this very very intimate day ✨

It’s hard for me to fathom that some weddings don’t take place in locations meant to be lingered in..

Where full weekends can be spent, with intentional guest lists. Where private vows can be shared against stunning backdrops, and ceremonies held in wild meadows outside town. Where thoughtful tablescapes feature handwritten letters to each guest, and generational desserts (made by grandma) are served.

Because these days do exist && they are truly the kind of experiences we wish for everyone.

This September V + J were married on their family’s property outside of Durango, Colorado ✨ The weather kept us guessing until the very last minute, and the floor plan was rewritten more times than I can count… but on this day, none of that mattered.

The flowers were bright and wild, their guests were joyful and loud, and the band kept the energy buzzing long after sunset. It was messy in all the human ways, and perfect in all the emotional ones…

Some weddings are flawless; others are alive.. unfolding in ways that can’t be written. And for all the right reasons, this one will live on forever
our memories! 🫶🏻
