Growing up in Brooklyn NY, with a family that loves good gatherings and great food, I began a life-long love affair with all things of culinary. Both of my grandmothers could take any ingredients in the fridge and pantry and create a culinary masterpiece. So I began to experiment with different food, flavors, and types of cuisine.
My passion is collecting all types of cookbooks & recipes from which I can create a menu to suit just about anyone. Naturally, I love to cook Puerto Rican food, but I have come to love all types of food from many different backgrounds. Growing up in New York has for sure brought me nothing but culture of my city. I ventured to Seattle ,WA after 911 left me without employment from a very well known catering company call The Perfect Event. We had accounts with all the major fashion industry like Hugo Boss, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Gap, Phat Farm.
Living in Seattle, WA gave me the culture of the Northwestern cuisine where I discovered what the Farm to Table culture was all about. A lot of the produce that we get from the United States is well grown in Seattle WA. From produce to seafood Seattle is sure at their best. After living in Seattle WA for 7 ½ years I moved to Atlanta GA .
After careful thought, I chose the name The Perfect Intimate Event because it means-classy, elegant, fashionable, & smart. The Perfect Intimate event is what I represent in my demeanor, my service, & most of all my food.
What I've Learned, Where I've worked...
I attended The Culinary Institute of America and the New York Restaurant School where I earned a degree in Culinary Arts and Restaurant management.
