We create beauty, peace of mind, and memories through well-planned, customized events. We offer extensive event services for weddings, corporate, non-profit and special occasion events. This includes our floral division - Fleurtation (www.fleurtation.com), The Duluth Balloon Co. (www.duluthballooncompany.com) and The Vault Event Decor Rental (www.eventdecorduluth.com). All of the brands fall under the Northland Special Events umbrella (www.northlandspecialevents.com).

It all began with a mini-van, a mother-daughter team, and an entrepreneurial spirit. Nearly eight years later, Mariah McKechnie, Visionary & CEO, and a rock star team of event professionals have planned, designed, decorated, and executed thousands of weddings and special events across the region. A constant pursuit of excellence, professionalism and a positive attitude defines the corporate culture and client experience at NSE.

Why NSE? With wedding and event budgets ballooning, clients often doubt the merit of spending additional dollars on event planning & decor services. What they realize after meeting with NSE is that they can’t afford NOT to have us as part of their wedding team. We are there so that the couple, their families, and their friends can truly enjoy the event they have worked tirelessly to put together. We put out fires (sometimes literally) and solve wedding day dilemmas like it is our job - because that’s exactly what it is.....what other investment of this magnitude would a couple make without the guidance of a professional?
