Derrick was more than a client. He was a King to many, but to me, he will forever be my brother.
Him and Sir Charles were the first clients who ever included me in their engagement photo shoot—and the only client, brother, and friend who could ever get me to put on a Falcons shirt! ❤️🖤

Our conversations didn’t end at their wedding farewell. They continued until the day he could no longer call or text. And for that, I will forever be grateful.

The memories, the laughter, the conversations, and the love we shared will always have a special place in my heart.

This intimate Saturday morning ceremony proved that sometimes less is truly more. At 9:00 AM, surrounded by lush florals, glowing candles, and the people who helped bring their vision to life—the bride, groom, officiant, planner/designer, and photographer—these two said “I do.”

One of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make as a planner was telling a couple who always dreamed of an outdoor wedding that we needed to move their ceremony inside.

My heart hurt for them because they were such a beautiful, loving couple and truly deserved every detail they had envisioned for their special day. After watching the weather closely and trying to hold onto hope, the groom finally looked at me and said, “Mrs. Lisa, we trust you… do what you must.”

So we made the call and moved everything indoors. And right as the bride began walking down the aisle… the sky opened and the rain poured down.

In that moment, I knew we had made the right decision. But what made the day even more special was realizing that the location never mattered as much as the love they shared.

The smiles on both of their faces after their nuptials absolutely lit up the room and reminded everyone present what weddings are truly about — love, trust, and the beginning of forever. 🤍
