We welcome all UMO students to Wayne County. Hope you will check out the Wayne Regional Ag Fair this fall. We also hope you will consider entering our Queen of the Wayne Regional Fair Pageant. We are deeply saddened by the passing of Billy Ray Thomas, a longtime friend and dedicated servant of our fair and a board member of the Wayne County Livestock Development Association. Billy loved the fair and served in a variety of roles throughout his many years of service. He worked tirelessly throughout the year to maintain the fairgrounds, prepare for events, and to ensure the fair was a success. Whether working on the grounds, helping with the shows, or simply lending a hand wherever it was needed, he was always happy to serve. Many of his kindest acts were carried out quietly, without recognition. We are grateful for his many years of faithful service and friendship. He will be greatly missed by our entire fair family. Our thoughts and condolences go out to his family and friends.
