I had such a wonderful time getting back into wedding photography capturing my old friend Fenna and her new husband Jack's wedding a few weeks ago. She made such a stunning bride and the whole day was tear provokingly beautiful. 🥹

Hi flower lovers!!! This post is long but I REALLY need your input!!!

Before Unhinged Floral Co. was even a thing, I dreamt of having a wedding floral studio that not only made events more beautiful, but also made our community a little more beautiful too. This floral industry that I love so dearly can be very hard on our planet. I have already committed to foam free designs and using local growers as much as I can, but the waste of event flowers once they’re done being enjoyed is such a prevalent issue.

I’m workshopping ideas on how I can help my couples enjoy their wedding flowers AND make a difference and I want to gauge interest to see if this is a service I can offer all my lovely wedding clients:

✨1 : If you would be interested in buying gently used wedding flowers that are at the end of their life at a major discount (let’s think of it as flower hospice) with 100% of the proceeds going to a local non- profit (receipts will ALWAYS be posted) please like, share, or drop an emoji in the comments!

✨2: Comment or tag your favorite non-profit! My vision is that my couples will choose their own non-profit for the proceeds to go to but I want to have ideas for them just in case they don’t have one in mind! Local Iowa non-profits are preferred but I’ll add any of your recs to my list!
