See you tomorrow, yall! π
π€ A NOTE TO OUR CODFISH FAMILY & FRIENDS π€
As we head into a new season, we want to tell you how excited we are to welcome everyone back to our sacred little space in the middle of the best part of nowhere.
We want to take a moment to express our deep gratitude to everyone that has ever come to see a show, that works here, volunteers here - EVERYONE. What makes Codfish Hollow so special is the extensive amount of variety and creativity that graces our space and comes together each year to continue the legacy that is Codfish Hollow. From the musicians to the artists to the myriad attendees. We welcome Grandpa's and Grandmas, farmers and city folk, kids and grandkids, sisters and brothers, every race, every religion, every political persuasion, every gender, every...body. EVERYBODY. EVERY BODY.
Music brings us together here at Codfish. We celebrate our diversity and protect our most vulnerable. It is because of all of you that we can continue to perpetuate the best parts of life - the love, friendship, caring, music, and fellowship that we are known for - that you come here to experience. We hope this joy, this beauty can carry us through a new season. We are committed to it.
We won't dwell in the negative spaces and division that has crept into our every day lives. We will do our very best not to, but we can't help but be alarmed at the tone and rhetoric that abound. We need everyone to understand that we remain committed to be a welcoming, and most of all, SAFE space. For volunteers, musicians, attendees, artists, children, adults, friends of friends, music lovers, for all. ALL.
And with that we have to make sure everyone is aware of our expectations. Everyone who buys a ticket, who attends our events is expected to uphold this as a safe space. We welcome ALL who come and conduct themselves with goodwill and to support the entire Codfish community. We mean this. If anyone comes with an intent to disrupt, to be divisive, or threaten other attendees, their attendance will be revoked and they will be escorted off our property. We hope we never have to do this, but are prepared to do so. Our volunteers, staff, and security team have participated in trainings and have plans in place to handle our events with safety as our primary focus.
With that said, please do what you can to protect your neighbors, family and friends, even fellow humans who may be strangers. Once you meet, listen to them, share your commonalities and love of music - become friends. It's the best way to go through our lives. We can't wait to kick off a new season, enjoy art and music, and STORM this Barn with all of you! β€οΈπ§‘πππππ€π€π€
