Y’all know I’m usually all about GO BIG OR GO HOME! 😂
But sometimes, just keeping it simple is beautiful too.
There’s something about a vase full of tulips that doesn’t need much else. They’re simple, timeless, and just plain pretty. ❤️
Sometimes you don’t need to add a whole lot to make something beautiful.

My purse works great for a delivery box and the vase is wedged in perfectly with the matching wallet. 😉
I have used my purse to carry many floral supplies through the years…now it has been used as the delivery box lol

A little piece of my heart is still there…

Facebook memories brought this one back today from August 25, 2014. I drew this flower in the fresh concrete and took this picture behind Walker's Flower Shop
Huron, South Dakota, and I had to share it with Ann, the owner. She sent me a picture back and guess what… it’s STILL there! 🥹🌸
This was back when I was really starting to find my way as a designer and truly design with flowers. Looking at this little creation now, it’s crazy to think about how far I’ve come since then.
But no matter how many years pass or how much I learn, a little piece of me will always be at Walker’s. So much of my floral journey began there, and a piece of my heart will always remain. ❤️ Ann is the reason I am the designer I am today! She was a great mentor to have!! She instilled in me how important continued education is and the work ethic I have in the flower shop today!! 🫶🏼 

It’s pretty special to look back and see where you started… and even more special to realize just how far you’ve come.

Sometimes, you just have to trust your florist!
This customer asked for a black and white arrangement, and I had an idea… I messaged her and asked if she would mind if I added a few copper-toned carnations. I knew they would add that little extra something to the design.

Her response? “I completely trust you. I know it will be amazing.” 🥰

I LOVE when customers give me that creative freedom! I completely understand having a vision in mind, but after doing this for many years, sometimes you just know when a little unexpected touch will make an arrangement that much better.
And these copper carnations? One of my favorites! I think they were the perfect addition to this black and white design.

There’s something pretty special about that trust between a customer and their florist. 🫶🏼

🍂 30 days until FALL! 🍂

I have to admit, summertime is still my favorite, but there’s just something about fall that I absolutely love. The beautiful jewel-toned colors, that crisp smell in the air, and all those little touches of autumn that make this time of year so special. 🍁

This is still one of my all-time favorite arrangements I’ve designed. I had so much fun playing with the curly willow and adding the autumn leaves throughout the branches to give it that natural, whimsical fall feel. The movement from the willow, the added leaves, and those beautiful pops of color really bring the whole design to life. 🍂🌻

I may not be ready to give up summer just yet… but I sure am looking forward to those beautiful fall colors! 🍁

A dozen purple roses, touches of white lilies, delicate baby’s breath, and a little Misty Blue come together in this big, beautiful arrangement. 💜🤍

And how special is the backdrop for this one? A little floral beauty in front of a piece of our local history at the Coca-Cola Bottling Company.

This arrangement was made for an anniversary, and I had the pleasure of recreating the couple’s original wedding colors.
What a sweet way to celebrate the years they’ve shared together and bring a little piece of their wedding day back to life. 💜🤍

This matching casket spray and easel were designed with yellow roses, shades of blue, fresh greens, and beautiful white Oriental lilies.

The lilies were especially stunning—and let me tell you, they smelled amazing! The whole shop smelled wonderful while I was designing these.

A beautiful combination of color, texture, and flowers, thoughtfully designed to help honor and remember someone special. 🤍🌿
